Village Hall, Alderman, and Committees
Need information about the Village Hall, need to speak with a town official, how to contact them, and where the Village Hall is located. You will also be introduced to the elected officials, who serve as Alderman working for the greater good and growth of the Village. To continue the growth of the Village, to involve a greater number of community leaders in the directing and to help provide visionary goals for the Village committees were developed. Agenda - Minutes - Ordinances
The Village has adopted ordinances or Village Codes (laws) specifically designed to address blight, nuisances and maintain a clean, healthy environment for all of the citizens of the community. In addition as a Historical District and a designation Louisiana Cultural District the Village must continually monitor and evaluate its strict adherence to the requirements to maintain their designations. Economic Development

Committees/Government Organizations
The Village of Grand Cane is a designated Historic District by the National Register of Historic places and property located within the Historic District is governed under the rules and guide lines of the Preservation Ordinance. The Grand Cane Preservation Commission regulates certain aspects of any building construction, repair, landscaping, lighting, signage, etc. Contact the Grand Cane Preservation Commission to coordinate changes or construction to properties within the Historic District.
